What is the difference between stockings and hold ups?

They are the same thing in modern use. Traditional stockings needed a suspender belt; hold-ups have a silicone band inside the lace top that grips the leg, so they stay up on their own.

Do hold up stockings actually stay up?

Yes, when the size is right. The silicone band needs skin contact to grip, so apply them to clean, moisturiser-free thighs. If a pair slips, it is usually too large rather than too small.

Can you wear hold ups every day?

Absolutely. Sheer 15–20 denier hold-ups are lighter and cooler than tights, which makes them a comfortable everyday option under dresses and skirts.
