Penti Dotted Ankle High Socks bring an elegant sheer dotted design to everyday hosiery. Soft, breathable and durable, they sit just above the ankle bone and give loafers, ballet flats, trainers and heels a subtle finishing touch — the sheer sock for when bare feet in shoes are not quite right.
How to wear sheer ankle socks
Sheer ankle socks do two jobs: they stop shoes rubbing and they add a detail at the ankle. With cropped trousers and loafers the dots show as a fine texture; with a midi skirt and flats they read as a deliberate accessory; under trainers they simply keep feet comfortable while looking tidier than a trainer sock. The 20 denier knit is fine enough to stay invisible under a closed shoe, and the fine soft seams at the toe mean no ridge to feel.

Are sheer ankle socks visible in shoes?
In loafers, flats and trainers the top band sits above the shoe, so the sock shows as a fine sheer trim with dots. In boots they disappear completely. Choose nude to blend with skin and black to match dark shoes and trousers.
Do they slip down inside the shoe?
No — unlike a footlet, the sock reaches above the ankle bone and the comfort band holds it there, so the heel does not work its way down into the shoe.
