Penti Micro 100 Denier Hosiery gives a fully opaque black leg with a glossy finish and Penti's 3D fit — the tights to reach for when you want no skin showing but still a polished, slightly dressy sheen. Carefully knitted, they hold their shape wash after wash, which makes them a dependable choice for work, leisure and going out through autumn and winter.
What 100 denier gives you
Denier measures the thickness of the yarn: 15 is sheer, 40 to 60 is semi-opaque, and from around 80 upwards the leg is fully covered. At 100 denier these are properly opaque with a warm, dense knit, but the microfibre yarn keeps them smooth and glossy rather than heavy and matt. The 3D fit means the tights are knitted to the shape of the leg, so they do not bag at the knee or ankle after a few hours, and flat seams plus a comfort plus waistband keep them invisible under fitted clothes.

100 denier vs 80 and 200 denier
The Micro 80 is a touch lighter with a matt finish, for those who want opaque coverage without any shine; the Micro 200 is Penti's thickest opaque, for the coldest days. Are 100 denier tights warm?
Yes — 100 denier is a winter weight. The dense microfibre knit traps warmth against the leg, so they are comfortable under skirts and dresses from October to March without being as bulky as a thermal.
Are 100 denier tights see-through?
No. At 100 denier the leg is fully covered and the colour reads as solid black even when stretched. The glossy finish catches the light, which is what gives them a dressier look than a matt opaque.
Which size should I choose?
Penti sizes 1 to 4 follow height and weight: match yours on our size guide. Opaques that are too small pull down at the waist and go shiny at the knee, so size up if you are between two.
