Penti Micro 200 Denier Fashion Tights are thick, sturdy opaque tights made for the coldest days. A matt opaque finish pairs with an extra comfortable waistband for a pleasant wearing experience all day long — the pair to pull on when a normal opaque is not enough and you still want to wear a skirt or dress.
What 200 denier feels like
At 200 denier the knit is roughly twice the weight of a standard 80 or 100 denier opaque. It feels closer to a fine legging than a tight: dense, soft and completely matt, with real warmth against the leg. The microfibre yarn keeps that thickness smooth rather than fluffy, so they still sit cleanly under boots and fitted skirts. The comfort plus waistband is cut wider to spread the hold, and a cotton gusset keeps them breathable through a full day of wear.

200 denier vs 80 and 100 denier
The Micro 80 is the everyday opaque and the Micro 100 adds a glossy finish; both are lighter and cooler. Choose the Micro 200 for January mornings, outdoor days and anyone who feels the cold — it is Penti's thickest opaque and one of the few we stock in six sizes. FAQs
Are 200 denier tights the same as thermal tights?
Not quite. Thermal tights use a brushed or fleece-lined inside to trap heat; 200 denier tights get their warmth from the sheer density of the knit and stay smooth on the inside. They are warmer than any standard opaque and less bulky than a fleece-lined pair.
Can I wear 200 denier tights with boots and trainers?
Yes — that is what they are for. The matt finish and legging-like weight look right with ankle boots, knee boots and trainers, and they will not go shiny or thin at the knee like a lighter opaque.
Which size should I choose?
Penti sizes 1 to 6 follow height and weight: match yours on our size guide. Sizes 5 and 6 extend the range for taller and larger figures. If you are between two, go up.
